A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been murdered in the country's largest city Johannesburg, triggering widespread grief across a nation battling entrenched crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was gunned down in the central business district on a Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 40-year-old media personality was confronted by a trio of assailants, one of whom opened fire on him before escaping on foot.
