The President Calls Loved Ones of Attacked Military Soldiers to the White House

President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has invited the loved ones of a Guard member killed last week to come to the White House.

He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Details on the Tragic Shooting

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a shooting on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

Vigils across West Virginia have taken place in their memory.

Presidential Offer

The president said he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump told reporters. “And likewise with him, no matter the outcome.”

Public Reaction

Attendees came together over the past few days at Webster County high school in the state to pay respects to Sarah.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s federal initiative to support public safety in Washington DC.

Honoring Beckstrom

“She was the kind of student that instructors desired. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of her previous school, informed the press. “She was sweet, caring and always eager to assist people.”

Funeral arrangements for Beckstrom are yet to be finalized.

Officials have accused a 29-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The event led the administration to halt refugee claims and cease issuing visas to possessors of Afghan passports.
